Finding an Erasmus+ Internship Abroad
Hello everyone! My name is Gloria Vuković. I’m a 23-year-old recent graduate from Croatia, currently doing my internship at the Student Room Flat.
Before starting my internship in the company, I finished my bachelor’s and master’s studies in Croatia at the University of Rijeka where I studied Tourism and Sustainable Development which I’m truly passionate about.
As I was finishing my master’s studies, I was planning to do the internship somewhere in Europe. While searching for the perfect match, I stumbled upon StudentRoomFlat which seemed like a perfect start for anyone who just freshly got out of college. At the first interview with the company and discussing their values, considering their dynamic and enthusiasm, I was assured that it is the perfect place to start my professional career.
Regarding my professional goals, I would like to utilize my skills and gain as much experience as possible as well as bring some new ideas and become an expert in my field of work.
Combining the internship with hobbies
My hobbies are spending time in nature, playing volleyball, cooking, and volunteering which is also a big passion of mine. I truly believe that one of the best ways to gain some fulfillment is by giving something back to the community that you live in.
Other than hobbies, one thing that defined me as the person that I am today is traveling. I always liked to go out of my comfort zone and try new things. One of the best trips I made was to Krakow where I spent 5 months finishing up my master thesis and gaining friends that I’ll have for life. Even though it was fun, my dream destination would be South Korea which I adored since I was a kid.
Again, I would advise everyone who wants to grow professionally and personally to change their address, their country, and get out of their comfort zone.
